Nas has been pretty adamant about not letting hip hop die. He, amongst others like Ice T and KRS-1, are determined to not let the genre and culture succumb to a horrible death from over excessive cheesey dances and unintelligent one liner hooks. Hip Hop has already survived the "Shiny Suit Rapper" era of the mid to late 90's, so why not survive the Hip Pop era?
Well, unlike the past attempts at mutiny, this time around, mainstream america has taken a liking to the music that is destined to implode the genre. McDonald's now only caters to black people in ALL their commercials. The Ellen Degeneres' Show frequently has the likes of Flo Rida and Black Eyed Peas perform and give instructional courses on how to do the Soulja Boy dance. Don't believe me? Watch this clip and see two collegiate white chicks and a 50 year old fat Whoopie Goldberg lookalike perform the "Superman That Hoe" dance on national television. Then, next time you hear Soulja Boy say he's Hip Hop, you can laugh with me.

Seeing all this, it's no wonder why Nas decided to make a Public Service Announcement to fight the fake hip hop that's killing the culture.
