These dudes are legit. One of them, Colin Baxter, was the executive producer of Sonicsgate; a documentary detailing the absolute shady dealings that went on between David Stern and Clay Bennett to uproot the Sonics from Seattle and ship them to Oklahoma City. Stern's panties were leftover wet from OKC's foster home care they gave to the New Orleans Hornets immediately following Hurricane Katrina's ass-kicking.
Well, Colin Baxter and his buddies weren't too thrilled about losing their team after 41 years of loyalty from the Pacific Northwest city. So they did what any other die-hard fans would do: spend $4000 a seat, plus airfare and hotel, to be present directly behind the Oklahoma City Thunder's bench during game 4 of the NBA finals.
Die-hard indeed, literally. The walking dead Seattle fans are sending a message, artfully tactical at that.

World War Z
So 4 years ago Brad Pitt's production company, Plan B, outbid Leonardo DiCaprio's production company, Appian Way, for the screen rights to a book called World War Z. Yeah, Pitt and DiCaprio were fighting to OWN this movie. Oh, and the "Z", it stands for ZOMBIE.
Yup, I have a boner the size of Rhode Island and Sarah's panties are as wet as Lake Superior right now. The reported budget for World War Z is a whopping $125 MILLION. To give you a sense of comparison, the previous highest budgeted "Zombie movie" was Dawn of the Dead at only $28 million.
We have awhile to wait though, the film is scheduled to release December 21st . . . . 2012.
Bonus Point: Bryan Cranston (from Breaking Bad) has a role in the film as well.

Run For Your Lives (Zombie Obstacle Course 5k)
So, Baltimore is pretty much a hell hole. Between its city's depiction in the critically acclaimed HBO series The Wire and their eternally awful baseball team the Orioles, the city doesn't really have much to look forward to. Well, that is until now.
Run For Your Lives is a "zombie infested 5K obstacle course race" that will take place in Baltimore. After the race, Baltimore will return to shit but hopefully, as the website claims, the "virus will spread in 2012". Meaning, more cities will host these Zombie 5K's. My fingers will remain crossed until it turns up in Orange or San Diego County.

Zombie Head Bowling Balls
These would be pretty awesome to own. However, don't hold your breath, these are not for sale. These were made as promotional advertisement items for 13th Street, a German horror movie/show TV channel. Yes, Germany DOES have a horror movie channel. And yes, America is lame for not having one as well.
These balls were placed in various bowling alleys around Germany to promote their channel. The balls were topped off with fake blood and brain goop inside the finger holes for added scare factor too.

CDC's Plan for Zombie Outbreak: Not Very Good
So, apparently the Center for Disease Control has FINALLY decided to take the inevitable zombie apocalypse seriously. However, they're plan for defense is absolutely terrible.
CDC official statement:
"If zombies did start roaming the streets, CDC would conduct an investigation much like any other disease outbreak. CDC would provide technical assistance to cities, states, or international partners dealing with a zombie infestation. This assistance might include consultation, lab testing and analysis, patient management and care, tracking of contacts, and infection control (including isolation and quarantine). It's likely that an investigation of this scenario would seek to accomplish several goals: determine the cause of the illness, the source of the infection/virus/toxin, learn how it is transmitted and how readily it is spread, how to break the cycle of transmission and thus prevent further cases, and how patients can best be treated."
Uhhh, yeah, I think I'll take my chances with a couple backpacks full of weapons while I wait for CDC's tests to conclude we're all going to die. Thanks, but no thanks.

More dollar bills for the collection, done by yours truly. And by "yours" I mean Sarah and I, not just me. She's the artist.

Dead Island
This is the announcement trailer for the upcoming video game Dead Island. It's played out in a sort of Momento style; with reverse linear storytelling. I was going to link the "re-cut" version as well, which tells the story better but the gay guy that made it chose horrible music and I don't want to subject your ears to that garbage.
This version's music, on the other hand, is pretty gripping.

Juicy Contradiction
Starburst OWNS when it comes to commercials. This one is no exception. A Scotch Korean man, it's a contradiction!

All About The 'Bergs
Looks like Jesse Eisenberg nails the Mark Zuckerberg character pretty well in this trailer. A movie about the popular social networking site known as book face starring a zombie slayer? Yup, I'm definitely checking this one out.
And before all you wussies ask, the Radiohead cover can be found here. Don't say I never gave you anything.

Konichi-Waaaaah!
Not exactly sure what's going on here, but anything with Io Aikawa and Risa Kasumi in it is a must see for me.

....of the Dead
George Romero is pretty much a household name....for zombie fans at least. The very first zombie movie I watched was the 1960 version of Night of the Living Dead. I was about 11 years old (1998), but the obsession with horror/gore started way before I even started walking. Night of the Living Dead was his very first zombie film--with all of the films he's made thereafter, sticking with repetitive titles that end with "...of the dead", it certainly made his name synonymous to zombies.
Anyway, so the legend does it again:
Survival of the Dead

Zombie Beef Jerky
" 'Zombie Meat,' an exquisite new Japanese snack for the horror enthusiast, consists of bite-sized chunks of tender blue flesh that, according to the package, has been aged to deadly perfection at the graveyard.
The ghastly meat snack, which tastes remarkably like peppered beef jerky, can be found at select shops in Japan for 399 yen (about $4.50) per pack."

Zombie Warning Road Signs
So some dude, clearly a lot smarter than I, figured out how to hack road construction signs. I know, you're waiting for the cool part....He likes zombies! Which means he's okay in my book. Had he liked vampires, well I wouldn't be posting this then would I?
This reminds me of junior high school when Casio came out what that space aged wristwatch with the full calculator pad. Remember EVERYONE getting one for christmas is 1993? Then that ONE kid figured out how to change the TV channel in US History class when you were watching some lame movie about The Declaration of Independence.

Zombieland vs Twilight
Zombieland was, and will be, the best movie of 2009. And, with all the recent adolescent girl hoopla over the new entry in the Twilight series, I feel it only right to see what the big deal is. Seeing as how I am a visual learner, a compare and contrast chart was necessary to help prove my point. You can ooh and ahh at my amazing photoshop chart making skills later, read the contents of it first.
Click on the chart to blow it up.
Don't worry, there's no bomb, by blow it up i mean enlarge it.
But no, not like that email you get 5 times a day for those pills that "enlarge" it.
That's something totally different, just trust me on this one.
