Haters Need Not Apply

Congratulations to you Lebron James, that monkey is finally off your back. This is the dawning of a new era.

Keeping the Green and Gold Alive

These dudes are legit.  One of them, Colin Baxter, was the executive producer of Sonicsgate; a documentary detailing the absolute shady dealings that went on between David Stern and Clay Bennett to uproot the Sonics from Seattle and ship them to Oklahoma City.  Stern's panties were leftover wet from OKC's foster home care they gave to the New Orleans Hornets immediately following Hurricane Katrina's ass-kicking.

Well, Colin Baxter and his buddies weren't too thrilled about losing their team after 41 years of loyalty from the Pacific Northwest city.  So they did what any other die-hard fans would do: spend $4000 a seat, plus airfare and hotel, to be present directly behind the Oklahoma City Thunder's bench during game 4 of the NBA finals.

Die-hard indeed, literally.  The walking dead Seattle fans are sending a message, artfully tactical at that.

It's Official: They're a Couple

Floyd Mayweather Jr. and 50 Cent are now officially a couple. As if the ignorant and aurally uncomfortable love fest wasn't already apparent during their countless man love professions on HBO programming, now 50 Cent is accompanying his boyfriend to court appearances. Yeah, cause normal "friends" do this huh? Did Lindsay Lohan's scissor sister Paris Hilton ever stand by her side during any of her 1,034,958 court appearances? I sure doubt it.

Quick recap: Floyd has been in jail, what, like 10 days now? Yet, he's already complained about his health deteriorating, not getting enough time to work out, and being malnutritioned by his "lack" of enough food to cater to his calorie intake. So let me get this straight, you're being treated exactly like millions of other prisoners except you'll actually be able to continue in your profession when you're released? Without having to clear a background check for even the most minimalistic jobs; such as: fry cook at McDonalds, elementary school janitor, night shift at Walmart.

Hey Floyd, go fuck yourself. Oh, and don't worry, boxing is officially dead anyways. You can thank Bob Arum for his "pre-fight rematch clause" between Tim Bradley and Manny. The good news is I'm sure your inaudibly loud mouth uncle probably has a spot for you on his training staff.

Proud Of You, Clippers!

Had the privilege of witnesses the Clippers last game of the season, in person, last night.  Thankfully, unlike most years, the last game was in the playoffs this time around.  Didn't matter that our seats were practically holding the walls up, nosebleeds (hmm, now that i think about it, I'm going to blame the altitude up there to my drunkenness).

Thank you for the first of many great seasons to come.  There's a new power team in LA ladies and gentlemen, and they don't wear woman's colors (purple and yellow, really? :cough: feminine :cough:)

Consolation bacon wrapped "danger dogs" outside the Staples Center

Best Team in the World

Us.  Not you.  Chelsea FC.  The greatest team in all of the land and nothing else matters today.  You can still support your team tomorrow, but everyone takes a backseat to Chelsea FC today.

FA Cup 2012 Winners: Chelsea

Ashley Cole did it for the 7th time as a player (most ever)
Didier Drogba scored in his 4th final (most ever)
John Terry wore the captain's band in his 4th final (most ever)

I think you get the point. This group of Chelsea players are better than any other group of players in the history of English Football. Sucks for the haters.

The five English National players on Chelsea took a moment to snap this pic together. Hopefully we'll see the same this Summer at the Euro Finals.
Left to Right: Daniel Sturridge, Gary Cahill (Up top), Ashley Cole (7 fingers!), John Terry, Frank Lampard.

Angels Baseball 2012

Pujols sucks this year, which in turn means the Angels suck. Doesn't quite explain our bullpen throwing little league pitches down the pipe but oh well. Still going to enjoy this season at the ballpark instead of on TV. Helmet Nachos are REALLY big.

The Greatest Comeback Ever

Haven't been blogging much lately. One of the main reasons: SPORTS.  Way too many important sporting events going on lately (Clippers, Chelsea, Angels)

If you didn't witness this Clipper comeback against Fat Randolph, The Other Gasol and the Memphis Lucky Shots then you were probably one of the 90% of people that changed the channel.  Here's a recap for you:

Super Bowl Shit

National holiday today. Bout to consume buttloads of hamburgers, hot dogs and steaks. Then I hope to dump buttloads of feces in the toilet.

Hopefully it goes a lot smoother than this.

Wonder Boy Shreds Hard

At seven I was playing with LEGOs; mostly biting them, but "playing" with them nonetheless. At seven, little dude Asher Bradshaw is killing SoCal skateparks like his parents rigged his DNA with Tony Hawk genes. Ryan Sheckler, move the fuck over spray tan reality TV boy. Shaun White, your still cool in my book; even though Carrot Top beat you to it with the hair by like 15 years.

Side note: I love The Drums, but "Let's Go Surfing" as a song choice for a skate vid is like taking an bulimic girl to a buffet for a first date.

Bandwagon Closed

However, feel free to enjoy all the Chris Paul to Blake Griffin highlights.

Let the fun begin.

Greek God Statue?

No, that's just Blake Griffin.

Ladies are wet, guys are jealous, defenders are envious and I'm proud to be a Clipper fan (no homo).

Prison League Football

So the Adam Sandler/Burt Reynolds movies The Longest Yard aren't so far fetched after all. Apparently Plaxico Burress played football last year while in prison for a weapons possession charge. The more surprising factor? His prison team played against the New England Patriots.

Top notch journalism Yahoo!, keep up the superb work.

Zombie Head Bowling Balls

These would be pretty awesome to own. However, don't hold your breath, these are not for sale. These were made as promotional advertisement items for 13th Street, a German horror movie/show TV channel. Yes, Germany DOES have a horror movie channel. And yes, America is lame for not having one as well.

These balls were placed in various bowling alleys around Germany to promote their channel. The balls were topped off with fake blood and brain goop inside the finger holes for added scare factor too.

Penalty Kick Falcon Flip

Uhhhh, not really much else I can say.

This 16 year old Finnish kid just made himself e-famous with one penalty kick. 6 MILLION views in 3 months.

Lockout Professionals

You just wait and see; soon enough Blake Griffin will be in more commercials than Lebron and Kobe combined. Why? Because he's more exciting AND is shaping himself into an extremely marketable personality.

Fear the Beard

THIS is what sports should be like. Enough of the seriousness, Lebron James hating, and football players committing murder (or every other crime in the book). These players get paid millions of dollars to PLAY a game, a game they supposedly love. So why aren't more players enjoying their free time the way Shaq, Dirk, and Brian Wilson do.

One day after pitching a save in the MLB All-Star game, Brian Wilson donned a spandex tuxedo at the ESPN Espy Awards show.

Time to order my "Fear the Beard" shirt.
