Guy Plays Mario Bros. In Real Life
Not sure how his game is over if he got a 1up for collecting 100 coins. Either way the video is funny. Just wish it was a bit more accurate.

Super Mario Brothers Was Hard
So you thought Super Mario Brothers was easy? Then why did blow the bottom of the cartridge when the game didn't load properly? Yeah, look at this guy. Don't worry, I don't expect you to watch the entire thing, but you get the idea. His audio accompaniment is pretty damn hilarious too.

Luche Libre Mask Wearing World Record
Bryan and I were present for Angel Stadium's record setting "Most People Wearing Snuggies in the Same Location" night last year, so only fitting we'd be back again this year for "Most People Wearing Luche Libre Masks in the Same Location" record.
Tui, Ken and Mark came along this year. Next year, whatever the record may be, I'm pretty certain our gang will grow ten fold.
Before the game we loaded up on bacon wrapped hot dogs being served up in the parking lot. I must say, these are head and shoulders above the diarrhea inducing bacon wrapped hot dogs you get outside LA based events served by old Hispanic ladies teetering on midget status.
Sorry for the bad picture, you're honestly lucky I was even able to get a picture before I ate the entire thing.

Dead Island
This is the announcement trailer for the upcoming video game Dead Island. It's played out in a sort of Momento style; with reverse linear storytelling. I was going to link the "re-cut" version as well, which tells the story better but the gay guy that made it chose horrible music and I don't want to subject your ears to that garbage.
This version's music, on the other hand, is pretty gripping.

Russian Scrabble
Trying out a new type of Scrabble with the little lady. We left all the vowels in the bag. Go figure.

Yahoo Bus Stop Derby
San Francisco seems to be a popular quick getaway location for a lot of my friends lately. Next time you guys are up there, keep your eyes peeled for one of these 20 Yahoo bus stop fixtures with touch screen video games installed on them instead of some overexposed Hollywood blockbuster movie poster.
AND!, if a city employee isn't hogging the game while getting paid your tax dollars (the HIGHEST tax dollars in the nation i might add), then you might actually have a chance to play. Pretty damn cool.
Scores are updated in real time and are pitted against the other 19 bus stops to deem high scorers for the day.

Dude, Where's My Go-Kart?
Dude, real life Mario and Luigi can't remember where they parked their Go-Kart, sweet!
But what does mine say?

Akira Yamaoka
I had the urge to search for this haunting song I heard years ago when I attempted to play Silent Hill (I failed miserably hence the usage of "attempt"--that game is horrifying). It's the theme song for the game series, but mind you, I only played the fourth. Akira Yamaoka is a famous video game composer, he composed all the music for the Silent Hill series. Everyone can agree that music emphasizes the effect on the audience so thanks to him, the game achieved what it intended to do--shit my pants. Anyway, the first 10 seconds of this track was on repeat throughout parts of the game thus reminding me of the frightening images when I hear it.
Here's a mash-up of the game and movie. The movie didn't do the game any justice--esp the little girl they picked to play Alessa (look at me criticizing the acting skills of a little girl, I'm horrible!) I'd give a remake a chance, though. A chance I shouldn't have given Paranormal Activity 2, sigh.

Who's Going to Put Grandpa Out of His Misery?
Not quite sure where the resurgence of Oregon Trail references came from recently, but I'm LOVING it.
Show of hands, does anyone actually know of ANYONE that has ever gotten dysentery?

TOASTY!!!
MORRRRTALLLL KOMMMMBATTTT!!!
This is a preemptive movie trailer of sorts. It was created to show Warner Bros. a new take on the Mortal Kombat series. And, coincidentally enough, this 8 minute clip is already 10 times better than the other two Mortal Kombat films that released in the 90's.
Finish Him!

Tetris: The Soviet Mind Game
Everyone knows i'm a fanatic for Tetris. I don't know what it is but those crazy vodka drinking, awkward-shaped-building dwelling Russians made an incredibly addictive 8 bit video game back in 1984.
25 years later, someone went and flipped the script. No, literally. They went and flipped the screen instead of the individual pieces. Doesn't make sense? Yeah, it's not supposed to. Just follow the link.
Don't worry, you'll only play it for about 2 minutes until you get sick and throw up. But hey, at least you'll be able to say you attempted it.

Go Be a Shark in Miami, and Eat People
I'm sitting over here bored out of my mind when my boy Skyler plugs me with this....
Game of the day: Miami Shark
You pretty much rip shit up all over Miami. Yes, AHL over Miami, not just the water, you can fly and bring down helicopters, passenger jets and space shuttles. EPIC

Rampage Movie Trailer

Extra Extra!

One of the latest trends for short film makers is video games movie trailers. Take a classic video game, apply it to real life, film it and throw it on youtube. It's genius, and little to no creativity is involved since the story is already written for you. Most of these (about 90%) really suck. But every once in awhile someone with more than just a camera and free time comes along and puts together a truly magnificent piece of hilarity.
It's easy to pretend you lived and breathed Super Mario Bros. and grab your fancy camera and a few of your douchebag friends and go film your version of Mario Kart. Horrible acting and all. This doesn't impress me. What DOES impress me is when a real filmmaker, with more than just a cheap idea, applies their trade to this topic. The outcome is below....
If any of you remember Paperboy on Nintendo then this will have you shitting your pants. The Grim Reaper, breakdancing kid, ginger skateboarder, RC car, old lady with a frying pan; ahh the memories. Go finish that weekly paper route kid!
