Jay-Z and Kanye were actually in Paris this past weekend. So it was only natural for them to perform Niggas in Paris . . . . ELEVEN TIMES straight to end their already two hour long show, culminating in a three hour performance.
Note: They've completely jumped on the "all black" bandwagon (about 6 years late) so it's hard to see them running around the stage in this fan shot video, but they're there.

Proud Of You, Clippers!
Had the privilege of witnesses the Clippers last game of the season, in person, last night. Thankfully, unlike most years, the last game was in the playoffs this time around. Didn't matter that our seats were practically holding the walls up, nosebleeds (hmm, now that i think about it, I'm going to blame the altitude up there to my drunkenness).
Thank you for the first of many great seasons to come. There's a new power team in LA ladies and gentlemen, and they don't wear woman's colors (purple and yellow, really? :cough: feminine :cough:)

Didier Drogba scored in his 4th final (most ever)
John Terry wore the captain's band in his 4th final (most ever)
I think you get the point. This group of Chelsea players are better than any other group of players in the history of English Football. Sucks for the haters.

Angels Baseball 2012
Pujols sucks this year, which in turn means the Angels suck. Doesn't quite explain our bullpen throwing little league pitches down the pipe but oh well. Still going to enjoy this season at the ballpark instead of on TV.

Anti Weight-Loss
About a year ago, I shared an article about body image issues and how prevalent it is today. The general consensus is that skinny equates to beauty. Even though I don't believe or agree with that statement, as a woman within a society of unrealistic expectations, it does reinforce itself with every ad/commercial that I come across. It's almost a conscious effort to disregard the kind of messages that are portrayed in today's media, but it's unavoidable. A friend of mine had posted ads from what looks like post depression era so 50's, maybe even 60's--and they were ads telling women to gain weight. Even though, the message is polar opposite, you can see how it could have created the same body image issues we face today. However, seeing this definitely solidifies that beauty solely lies in the eye of the beholder. Everything else is a pull factor. Anyway, enjoy.
